Kindergarten Art and Chess
For children entering Kindergarten
Art: Under the Sea
Make a big splash and join us for adventures in art under the sea. Campers will learn all about jellyfish, octopuses, dolphins, whales, and even mermaids. There’s nothing fishy about using cool tools and materials to create fun paintings, collages, sculptures, and more. Campers will have oceans of fun designing cool art projects, playing games, reading stories, learning about ecology, and examining underwater habitats. So dive in! Your child won’t get wet, but they’ll make some new friends and have lots of fun under the sea!
Chess for Young Thinkers
Set your child up for success through the timeless game of chess—where every move is a lesson in critical thinking. Campers will learn the basics of chess, which include the history of the game, how to understand the board, how the pieces move and their values, key strategies like the five opening principles, basic tactics, and how to checkmate. Not only will students develop critical thinking skills, but they will also improve their vocabulary and higher math skills. The goal? To foster an appreciation and enjoyment of chess—the “Sport of the Mind”—all while helping build your child’s problem-solving, strategic thinking, and life skills. Join us!
