Hollywood and Broadway Makeup
For children entering grades 6–8
This class introduces students to the fundamentals of makeup design and teaches them how to replicate iconic characters’ makeup from award-winning musicals (e.g., The Lion King), movies (e.g., Harry Potter), and TV series (e.g., The Acolyte). Students will develop skills and knowledge about the different aspects of makeup design and application techniques that are used in the entertainment industry. For example, they will learn how to create and apply prosthetics, such as wounds, bruises, and fake blood.
