Description

Grammar Guardians: Building Skills for Brilliant Writing

For children entering grades 6–8

Grammar Guardians turns grammar essentials into a lively, competitive experience where students strengthen their grammar skills through games centered around real-world editing projects. Students will edit grammatically incorrect signs, stories, and social media posts in engaging activities such as “Bad Grammar Bloopers” (correcting errors on menus and signs) and “Perfect the Post” (polishing up age-appropriate social media posts). They will master parts of speech, punctuation, sentence structure, and editing techniques while gaining confidence in clear communication. Weekly grammar games keep the excitement high, and the course culminates in a publishing project where students edit and present a piece showcasing their corrections. The class will cover the same content each session, and we recommend only registering for this class one time.
