Description

Introduction to Chemistry

For children entering grades 3–5

Have you ever wondered what Greek chemistry was like? How were electrons discovered? What are those hexagons that chemists draw? If you've asked any of these questions, take this course to find out the answers! This course will be a very basic introduction to some favorite chemistry topics, covering basics such as, what the periodic table is, what an element is, how to draw like an organic chemist, the uniqueness of water, some basic chemistry history, and more! This course will provide basic chemistry knowledge, which will be helpful for future courses. This course will have lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on chemistry experiences to convey topics better and give some lab experience. The final class will introduce students to the most modern atomic structure.
