Foundations of Math For children entering grade 5-7 This is a four-week class; the first two weeks will focus on the review of topics such as fractions, decimals, word problems, place value, perimeter/area, and angle basics. The second half of the class, students will work on pre-algebra skills such as expressions, equations, percents, probability, and inequalities. Progress monitoring will be implemented through the summer to track growth and understanding. This class will strengthen the basic knowledge and algebraic math skills students will need to be successful in the classroom.
