Chess For children entering grades 3–5 Join Chess-Ed as they provide a unique, exciting, and dynamic chess instructional program designed to lift each student to a new level of chess expertise—whether a beginner, continuing, or advanced chess player. Each day students will enjoy an engaging professional chess lesson with supervised time to play with classmates. Students will grow their knowledge of the game—from the basics through opening theory, middle game tactics, and end game combinations. Studies suggest that playing chess increases IQ performance, improves memory, uses analytical and critical thinking skills, teaches problem solving, responsibility, sportsmanship, social skills, and more.
