Academic Approach applies a research-based, data-driven instructional cycle to our preparation courses. Our High School Entrance Exam prep class is designed to provide students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel in the CPS Selective Enrollment exam. Courses are best suited for students interested in improving their score growth potential by reviewing key skill sets in reading, writing, math, and their application on the high school admissions exam. Sixteen hours of total instruction are customized to introduce reading annotation, math problem solving, grammar, and rhetorical skills, all with a rigorous emphasis on the admissions test standards and practices. As part of our course, students will sit for two full-length, practice tests.
