Animation and The Humanities II
For children entering grades 6–8
Students will familiarize themselves with the rise and evolution of age-appropriate animation movies, while learning to talk and write about them using different lenses of critical analysis applied in humanities classes. This session will help students construct and present critical commentary using specific examples and evidence. Students will learn about and apply terms related to character development, irony, and satire effectively. Ultimately, this session will help increase students' confidence and familiarity with the writing process through a medium which many of them enjoy. The class will cover the same content each session and we recommend only registering for this class one time.
