In this ceramics class, students will be encouraged to think of sets, or objects intended to go together. For instance, one student might design a tea set with a cup, a saucer and a spoon. Another student might create a tic-tac-toe game, with a game board and pieces. Another might create a series of figurines that have some visual commonalities. Students are encouraged to refine their hand-building skills, while also thinking about more complex design principles and taking their artworks to the next level! I’ll fire all the clay pieces in the kiln, then the students have several options for decorating the surface of their pieces - including food-safe glazes. This class challenges young artists to think beyond single pieces and consider how objects work together visually and functionally—taking their ceramic skills to the next level!. Perfect for students ready to elevate their ceramic artistry! Materials fee of $100 will be applied.
Participants must currently be in grades 6 to 8.
Registration starts on 10/20/2025 and ends on 10/27/2025.
