Unlock the world of American Sign Language (ASL) in this beginner-friendly class. The class will cover basic greetings, fingerspelling the ASL alphabet and signing your name, common phrases, the alphabet, and numbers, translation techniques (decoding and encoding), and provide insights into the Deaf culture and community. This class is a great way to explore a new language, connect with others, and gain a deeper appreciation for communication and culture.
Participants must be entering grades 6 to 8.
