Students become the official historians of their school year, learning photography, interviewing, writing, and design skills while creating a professional yearbook. They'll document school events, interview peers and teachers, and organize a template for a digital yearbook. This hands-on journalism experience develops technical skills in capturing good photos and learning page layout while building confidence in communication and teamwork. Students learn responsibility through managing deadlines and collaborating on creative projects. By year's end, participants will have produced a lasting tribute to their school community while gaining valuable portfolio pieces and real-world journalism experience.
Participants must currently be in grades 3 to 5.
Registration starts on 08/19/2025 and ends on 08/26/2025.
