Bright minds come together to explore the foundational logic of artificial intelligence. Through a medley of affirming growth mindset exercises, creative paper-based coding, fun block-based programming, and project-based team hack-a-thons, we cultivate the computational and algorithmic thinking kids need to create confidently. We embed concepts like events, loops, conditionals, variables, and functions within a variety of puzzles, riddles, and activities to make coding fun! Course Structure Mindfulness Minutes: Activities designed to promote social-emotional learning through fostering equity, inclusion, diversity, and a growth mindset. Today in AI Talks: Hear from your instructor about the very latest in artificial intelligence from self-driving cars to robotic dogs to comfort the elderly. Paper Programming: Cultivating abstraction, creativity, and design thinking with non-traditional approaches to reasoning about algorithms and UX/UI design. Block-Based CodingUsing Scratch, a platform developed by MIT, drag and drop blocks to form the basis of storytelling, games, sports, and more!
